Saturday Study {3}

Before I start the Saturday Study I want to thank all of you for all your prayers and sweet comments checking up on me. (:

Here is a question I want you to think about while you are reading this. “What is something that you value more than anything?”

Genesis 22:1-2 says:

Sometime later God tested Abraham.  He said to him, “Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. Then God said, “Take your son, your only song, Isaac, whom you love, and go to the region of Moriah.  Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering one of the mountains I will tell you about.”

Here God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, his only son.  Remember Isacc was Abraham’s ONLY son.  Abraham had a choice.  He could tell God “No, I’m not giving up my son.” or he could obey. Well, Abraham trusted God.  God told Abraham not to sacrifice Isaac, just as he was going to sacrifice.  You see, Abraham trusted God enough to believe that God would turn everything out all right.

Now back to the question earlier.  Would you be able to give that thing, whether it is friends, family, education, possession up if God told you too?  Would you have enough trust in God to just give it up if God said to?
